WELCOME TO THE TELEGRAPH!
Exhibition of Bomarsund in Prästö, Sund, about 1 km from the Prästö ferry harbour and from the fortress ruins of Bomarsund.

The exhibition is the beginning of a visitor centre in Bomarsund. By means of a miniature model and a DVD film over Skarpans and the fortress, you can see how the Bomarsund area looked in the Russian times. There are also uniforms, crinolines, and peasant clothes on display, in the fashion of the 1850’s. That way you’ll get an idea of Bomarsund life in this era.

You can also learn more about the war in 1808–1809 between Sweden and Russia from the exhibition at the Telegraph.
