Hastersboda 4 km – seashores and magical coniferous forests
The archipelago people derived their living from the sea and in harmony with nature. Information boards along the trail depict the life of the bygone days and focus on fishing, farming and forestry traditions and self-sufficiency.
The first part of the trail goes by the seaside, over cliffs and rocky shorelines. From there you can follow the trail through an old and untouched coniferous forest with magical atmosphere back to the starting point. The trail passes meadows where you can sometimes see grazing sheep and cows. There is a bird watching tower with splendid views of the sea over to Kökar. The birdlife is rich and white-tailed eagles nest in the area.
Enjoy nature! Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footsteps.
